Nothing beats a nap on a hot day...
This blog is for my kid(s?). So if they want to, they can look back on what it was like "back then"...

Today the Cutty Sark was seriously damaged by fire. I mention this because it's quite a major event. Alex though, was not fussed as he was quite happy splashing around in his morning bath. What were you doing when this landmark of history was nearly destroyed?
Well, what a day! Chinese food and horse riding! What more could Chris need?!
The pictures will be added once I get them onto the laptop, but until then here is some other news...
Dorset Naga seeds planted and ready for action. These are the Worlds hottest chilis...3 to 4 times hotter than any other. Look them up on the net...
Oh yeah...I shot ton number 4 yesterday...that's 3 in 2 weeks...I am on a roll! This one was at 50m, and one shot is a very close call, but all that have seen it say that it is a definate 100/100. Happy days!
Ha! Weeeeee! A first. 2x100's in a row!
A ton is a hard thing to achieve. Some shooters never even get one, and my last....and only ton was shot in February 2005. Tonight I started with a poor 96, but then sorted my head out and shot a 100....and a very tidy one at that.
Trying to keep myself together after finally getting my second ton was going to be tough! I thought I'd get a low follow up score, but kept telling myself that if I can shoot through the bull once....and then ten times in a row, then surely shooting ten more times in a row must be possible! So I took each shot at a time - as an individual, and although it wasn't the tidiest ton I did manage to pull a second one out of the bag!!! I am thrilled to bits!!!!
A bit like buses - you wait ages for one to come along, and then two turn up at once!!!
...You might be my dad....but I'm The Daddy!
Apart from horses at the Tweseldown show, Alex met some farmyard animals. More pictures to follow as Alex's birthday weekend draws to an end. What a fun filled few days we've had!
Alex had his first trip to a Bisley open day. Gran looked after him for a while whilst Chris and I shot a couple of times (A.I 7.62, Custom Rem 700, AR15). Chris then went off with her mum and Alex to play on bouncy castles and merry-go-rounds (photos to follow).
Whilst Alex was off playing I carried on down the range. Alex, Gran and Chris caught up with me a little later in the day, and we also met up with several friends.
I shot a few more iconic guns today, including the infamous Kalashnikov AK47, the Dragunov Sniper rifle, a Mauser WW1 rifle and a Pedersoli large gauge buffalo gun. All good fun with lots to do for the whole family.
The photos of yours truly were taken by ER.
Grandad came to see Alex today - with gifts in tow - including a bubble machine for Alex!
Alex really loved it - we took loads of photos - as you can well imagine!!!
Later on in the day we all went for a walk to feed the ducks, geese and swans. Feeding a swan like this is amazing - it's such a huge bird, and so beautiful.
Yeah, right! He loves it! He even managed to press the motor button and drive into mummy...
1 today!!!! It's hard to believe that Alex is 1 today! He's taking the day to open all his presents (thanks EVERYONE!!!!). So far though he seems obsessed with the walker!
I've looked through all of his last years photos and find it amazing how he is developing and changing. The rest of his birthday pictures are being put up at 1st Birthday pictures.
One year old today! One of his presents was a vtech walker. This is a great, very well balanced walker that doesn't easily tip or speed away from under Alex.
He's only ever pulled himself around the edge of sofas before, but already today he has walked with the walker across the sitting room several times.
...and the missing cattle...
