17:31 - Waspies

Waspies, originally uploaded by L.B.

After a couple of careful shots at the nest with my air pistol (from the safety of the loft hatch), I moved in with the vacuum cleaner.

As no wasps came out after I had shot the nest a few times, my belief that this was an old nest was backed up.

This picture shows one wasp nest filling a Dyson until it cut out.

Like I said - it was a big nest.
