This blog is for my kid(s?). So if they want to, they can look back on what it was like "back then"...

Alex had a great day today with a friends kids (EJR). He was playing on all the toys in the play park. Whilst running around the park he changed direction and almost got wiped out by a big kid on a swing - luckily another parent was closer than I was and whipped Alex out of the way!
We then went on and played football all the way around the perimeter of the huge field.
By the end of it he was pretty tired - but carried on going with pure adrenaline. By the time I got him home the excitement was wearing off.
I made him a light meal as he was hungry....but the tiredness caught up. He had already sat at his table when I bought the food in to him...but by the time he had his first mouthful he was fighting heavy eyelids.
I decided that eating was not going to work for him, as his head was wobbling all over the place and his eyes kept shutting. I moved the table away from him and he grabbed it and pulled it back in...he wanted his food!
I loaded up a fork with some food, but he didn't open his mouth....he just nodded backwards - gone!
I have been playing with a few image manipulation tools and came up with this little gem.
Bless him!
Alex and me went to see cousin Ben, Andy and Sarah today. We all went to Paultons Park. It was a lovely day. Alex had been a little apprehensive of rides before now but it seems he has gotten over his fears now!
This is Alex finishing off my ice cream! He really liked it and made a really funny face when he first tried it. He looked like he had a little white beard afterwards.
....of a fun packed 100mph birthday for our 2 year old lad....
YUP!!!! ALEX IS TWO!!!!
First things first - Thank you to the family for the gifts they gave Alex. He loved opening them all (he had huge eyes when he saw the Thomas the Tank Engine inflatable.....that'll wait until summer until it is pumped up though!).
He took to his first radio control car with the same styles as I drive on the PS3......yup - he turned the controller to "help" steer.....just like his dad on the PS3 Gran Turismo!!!....
A sand and water table (high rise cat litter tray and bird bath come winter.....) was also a great success. He thoroughly enjoyed opening all his gifts. At 2 he has much better understanding of what is going on, so knew today was special.
Another gift was a trip to Horton Park - the petting zoo with adventure playgrounds that Alex really enjoyed last year. Now he is older he had so much more fun!!!
Alex loved seeing the animals again, but this time he was "All about the action!".
A stop for a picnic lunch was required to recharge the turbo-toddler batteries, and then it was off again!!!
This year he threw himself into all the climbing frames and slides, running rings around us adults!
Top day out.....followed by a sleep in the car on the way home....then play time again with his sand and water table (less sand...). He should sleep well tonight!!!
