Oh yeah, Momma!
I thank you! Uh huh!
This blog is for my kid(s?). So if they want to, they can look back on what it was like "back then"...

Oh yeah, Momma!

We don't really have the space for this - at least not until after we move. Alex is now so playful we had to find space and set it up for him.
He lover it, and the mirror in the top of it gets him laughing like a looney!
First thing this morning I had the joy of playing with a wide awake laughing boy!
If you've been there you will know what I mean...if you haven't been there yet, you are missing something indescribable!
Yet more outgrown clothes...and now he's filling the car seat!
We can't get over how quickly he is growing!
This was only 5 1/2 weeks ago!!!
Finally he woke up....just long enough to get a meal in him, belch, then spark out again. Tough life!
Alex was out for the count after his seaside trip. The amount of smiles he put out must've taken a toll!
The weather was nice and cool today so we decided to take a walk along the sea front at Southsea.
Alex seemed to enjoy the sea air, which was fortunately incoming. Nothing worse than a nice view and smelling Portsmouth. We lucked in today!
Once we move we'll take our seaside trips to Wittering, as it is so much better there.
Yes, 7 weeks old and he's already getting too big for the Moses basket!
It's a good job we move soon (touch wood) because then I can set up his cot.
Today he managed to rupture a nappy (diaper, to our American friends), and boy, he did a great job of it. He must have lost half his body weight in Korma!
Bless!
Granny spotted this at a car boot sale. Top bargain!
Alex can now spread out on his walks! The original chair is great for the car, but not so good for long walks. This one is now the day tripper!
Finally the new scopes are here. The larger one is for the 7.62mm M44 Mosin Nagant, the smaller one is for my .22" competition rifle for when I take part in scope events. The air pistol is my old Webley Hurricane .177 as a size comparison to the new scopes.
He's at it all the time now! If he's awake Alex wants to be vertical!
The best thing is holding him in the standing position and watching his smiles and giggles as he moves his head around.
He's also pushing himself over things (legs, pillows etc), which is quite cool.
I don't know what age kids are meant to be able to do certain things, but one of my pet peeves is when people say "My child is only X months old, but he's already performing at Y months." For me it's not about how advanced or whatever - it's about watching my son do things for the first time, and watching him learn.
Your kid might be able to play the piano at 7 weeks old, but I just watched Alex turn his head towrds me whilst I was supporting him...and then he grinned - and that's just about the best thing I've seen this week. :)
11lb 12oz...
Our little lad is growing up. He likes nothing more than sitting up and keeping his head up! He can't do it for too long yet, but if we lay him down he cries until we sit little 'wobble head' upright again!
He's now in 3 to 6 month clothes...he's going to be tall!
Many of you know that Chris and I shoot target rifles. We shoot paper targets for competion and practice. We like fluffy animals and neither of us would shoot a living thing out of choice (for fun).
This picture is of my "New" 7.62mm x 54r Mosin Nagant rifle. I have yet to pick it up from the gun shop, as I need to update my firerms certificate once we move house. This 1952 Russian rifle will be mine in about 6 weeks then.
It annoys me that there is so much anti-gun lobbying around - people need better education.

A rare aircraft to see outside my works hangar. A Tornado GR4 from 15sqd. Not something you see everyday!
On the way back from a day out to QE Country Park with Alex and Chris I spotted the largest rear tyre I have ever seen on a motorbike. As we overtook to get a picture we couldn't help but notice that the whole bike was a really well sorted Harley custom job. Have you ever seen a front tyre that wide on a bike! To top it off, the rider was a cool guy!
Alex, of course, just slept!
I had to shoot some 100 yard competition targets today. It was a blisteringly hot day, but cool in the shade, so a good chance for Alex and Chris to get some sun and fresh air.
Wearing a heavy leather shooting jacket and getting through 120 rounds of ammo on such a hot day was harder than you would think!
I hope Alex takes up the sport like his parents and my dad, but I won't force him if he doesn't want to do it - I didn't start until I was 31!
Eddie also turned up at the range - fresh from his laser eye surgery. I won't say that his eyes have improved that much, but he took a look at my target 100 yards away and said my shooting wasn't bad today!
